Ethics

Working within a sound ethical framework that is respectful of cultural differences is the secret to a curator’s success.

Our Director, Tehmina Goskar, has been involved in ethical research and governance since she started her career in museums and culture. She is a Fellow of the Museums Association and from 2016-21 was a member of its Ethics Committee. She was co-opted to the MA’s Decolonisation Guidance Working Group 2019-21 which produced sector-facing guidance on decolonial work in museums. She is also a Level 2 Accredited Facilitator who abides by the Association of Facilitators Code of Practice.

We offer confidential ethical advice within and outside national and international codes of ethics. We can also offer ethical training tailored to your project or professional workplace.

As well as the ethics of museums, we also conduct research in an ethical framework and can advise academic researchers and projects on the ethical impact of their work.
